Checking In At

The Bel View....

Dogwood has worked with Going For Independence (GFI) to create a new audio drama in four episodes. GFI is the Teesside organisation supporting the blind and partially-sighted with groups in Redcar, Darlington, Hartlepool and Stockton. Their members created storylines, recorded sound effects and performed alongside professional actors to bring to life the Bel View guest house, set in the fictitious Teesside seaside resort of Whitborough-by-the-Sea.  The project started in June, capturing the real experiences of holidays past and living by the sea.

The drama features a young couple as they struggle with new careers, running the recently inherited guest house. Each week new guests arrive, looking forward to that traditional British seaside holiday. With the smell of burning bacon and unexplained noises from the attic, what could possibly go wrong?

Dogwood would be pleased to hear from other groups who might be interested in creating future episodes of life at Bel View.

Episode One: The One With Shades Of Green
Episode Two: The One With Revels Revisited
Episode Three: The One With The Flighty Visitor
Episode Four: The One With The Unexpected Waiter
