Production Details

The Quiet Work is suitable for audiences of all ages.

The production has four performers and tours with a technician.

Anticipated running time: 75 minutes without an interval.

The production tours with sound and light.

Required get in time: 4 hours.

Required get out time: 1 hour.

 

It is designed for theatres and community venues with a flexible set that requires a playing area of 6m wide by 4m deep by 2.5m high, though it can be adapted with notice.

 

The production’s narrative has strong references to a character who was profoundly deaf and we expect some performances to have live BSL interpretation.

 

The production has an accompanying exhibition. This is self-contained and does not require fixing to walls/floors. With notice it can be made available earlier on the day of performances and/or displayed at a second location.

 

Puppetry and storytelling workshops can be offered and individually designed for participating groups. In the past these have been offered to school and youth groups, the visually impaired and those with learning difficulties. They can be made available on the day or, potentially, prior to a performance date.
