Dogwood is the national partner for theatre with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), the charity saves lives at sea.
The Shearing Gang
Commissioned by three large outdoor venues in Cornwall, it told of five young people working together, travelling together, living together, a shearing gang: It's endless miles on the road and one long summer, at the end of which they know they will go their own ways. At journey's end, nothing will quite be the same again.
Created using a professional cast augmented by three community casts, the show examined the different lives of young people from city and rural backgrounds, reconnecting with the past and offering hope for the future.
